Project integration management is the first on nine project management knowledge areas. It is, to some extent, the parent of all other project management knowledge areas. It ushers along the processes in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. It is not unlike the hub of all project activities as it coordinates, integrates, and oversees the relationships among the project processes.
