In the PMP Exam each correct answer contribute to your overall score. The best way is get 100% correct in what i called here as "easy" questions. These include:

PMI now uses a rough 3 level indication of your performance in the exam:
1. Proficient - your performance is above average
2. Moderately Proficient: your performance is average
3. Below Proficient: your performance is below average

To successfully pass the exam you have to clean up your mind from all those exam myths that will burden you unnecessarily. Just for example, one of my boss told me to really memorize the PMBOK especially the  ITTO inside and out, backward and forward, right to left and left to right - upward and downward.

Memorize ITTO’s for CAPM
In the CAPM exam, are there a lot of questions on the Inputs, outputs or tools and techniques of processes? I know the processes, and most of the primary outputs. I can describe the different ITTO’s but I have not memorized the lists. Any suggestions/comments will be helpful

Here is a list of PMP Exam myths: the first is that you must memorize ITTO from PMBOK, second: PMBOK covers everything you need to know for the exam and third is you need to get 35 contact hours from PMI REP. Let me debunk all these myths one by one.

Question: What is the validity period for the 35hrs contact program before the PMP exam?
Answer from some member: You will have to undergo the training from PMI R.E.P. (Registered Education Provider) to gain those 35 contact hours credit.

Short answer: the 35 contact hours is valid for life, unlimited time. there is NO requoirement to get this from a PMI REP - any university and college course in PM related subject may be used.
