G. Yu, The First Person in the world to pass the new standard PMP Exam (PMBOK 4th ed based exam) Today, 1st July, is the Project Management Professional® (PMP®) credential changed its standard, the PMBOK® Guide, into the 4th edition. Gibson Yu, a Microsoft software course trainer, and the Director of By-Source, has become the first person to pass the new exam of the 4th edition. As Gibson Yu walked out the exam site, he shouted: “This is the best birthday gift I have ever received!” (Gibson is the man in the center spot in the photo, in blue shirt)Last year, the global economic crisis affected every business sector. Gibson Yu’s company was no exception. Their business had dropped, and he kept thinking how they could change, so that they could not only survive but increase their business. Therefore, he decided to seek out help. Project Management caught his attention, since he had accumulated experience whilst working with management for the past ten years. With this in mind, the U.S. Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential became his first choice for self-improvement. Due to word-of-mouth, he enrolled with Taiwan’s leading registered education provider, Project Management Advanced Business Consulting Inc. (www. PM-ABC.com)
As Gibson started to prepare for the PMP® Exam, he found the exam standard, PMBOK® Guide, Project Management Body of Knowledge was changing to its fourth edition, which made him nervous. The PM-ABC’s Director, Roger Chou coached Gibson personally, and told Gibson to follow PM-ABC’s standard training procedures and utilizes their PMP mnemonic audio book, so that no matter what the content of the test, he can cope with it well. Whilst listening to the PM-ABC’s PMP audio book, an audio-book embracing a strong martial style, Gibson sensed the mnemonics had a powerful training effect. The simple and easy to understand explanations enable him to memorize with ease all the definitions and form clear concepts. Therefore, as he took the exam, remembering the sentences calmed him down, and helped him resolve complicated questions. Meanwhile, during the entire training process, Gibson also came to understand why the PM-ABC’s Director, Roger Chou, adopted a Chinese martial style interface for this audio book. Roger said the project managing is like conducting troops. From the planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, to the change control of the project, the methods and philosophy involved is all very like organizing and ordering troops, which is also concerned with pre-planning, organizing, effective management and acting according to circumstances. As a matter of fact, the U.S. Project Management Professional philosophy was primarily derived from army management. It can not only be used in the battlefield, but can also be applied in business operation and even, social networking and lifelong development. This audio book carries a meaning that is the realization of what project management is about from Roger’s idea; also, it is a gift from Roger, to all the PMP®. iPhone/iPod Touch PMP Martial audio book free for download: http://linkbee.com/itune A danger may also be an opportunity. To Gibson, a project management learner who carries a lot of doubts about life and career, this military and business wisdom came just in time. He finally passed the PMP Examination, becoming the world’s first person to pass the exam for the 4th edition of PMBOK® Guide. – Related posts: |
